At Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, we are here to help our community find relief from mental health challenges through the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. The scope of individual treatment ranges from acute inpatient care to day treatment and outpatient services. Most people think that mental illness is rare and happens to “someone else.” The truth, however, is that mental illness is far more common. Major depressive disorder alone affects nearly 10 million American adults annually.
As the need for behavioral health services continues to grow, Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is committed to expanding access to compassionate, high-quality care close to home. Our new Behavioral Health Center, expected to be completed in 2028, will add 70 new beds and increase our ability to provide timely, local support for more individuals and families across Southeast Texas.
