Where are the Behavioral Health Services located?

Is family involved in treatment?
With permission of the patient, we welcome and encourage family members and significant people in the patient’s life to be involved in care. Family support is a critical part of treatment.
Is smoking permitted?
Baptist Beaumont Hospital is a tobacco-free environment. Acknowledging the inconsistency between advising on the health hazards of tobacco use and allowing its use on hospital grounds, we prohibit tobacco use by anyone - employees, volunteers, medical staff, contract staff, vendors, patients and visitors - on our campuses, including the parking lots. Our programs support smoking cessation as a component of treatment.
When are visiting hours?
We strongly encourage families to be involved in care in our programs. Visiting hours vary by program and can be viewed here.
Are cell phones allowed?
Cell phones are not allowed on any of the inpatient units.
What kind of personal items and clothing can I have in the programs?
Our programs focuses not only on the quality of services, but also on the safety of our patients. In order to fulfill this mission, there are various items and clothing that are not allowed on the units. We will be happy to keep any items locked up and safe for you during your staff. Is aftercare planning a part of the program?
The treatment team works closely with the individual as well as with family, significant friends, and outside providers to develop a personalized aftercare plan. Recommendations by staff are made based upon clinical needs, progress made during treatment, and long-term treatment goals.
What do I need to do with my existing medications?
It is very important that our physicians know what medications you have been taking. If at all possible, please bring your medication bottles in with you or of that is not possible an accurate list of your medications. . During your hospitalization, your nurse will bring medications to you.
What are my rights generally as a voluntary patient?
When you seek voluntary admission to an inpatient mental health facility, you may not be able to leave the facility, even in you change your mind. In certain situations, the facility may file an application for court-ordered mental health services, even if you initially came to them voluntarily.
