Year Round Volunteer Program
*If you are a high school or college student, please see our Student Volunteer Programs page as the application and intake process varies for these populations.*
Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is a large organization with a variety of volunteer needs and opportunities. We have volunteer positions for individuals who are interested in walking five miles during their four hour shift, as well as positions for individuals with limited mobility. Our youngest volunteer, outside of the student program, is 21 and we also have volunteers who are shining in their 90’s. There is something to complement every skill, ability, and interest. Matching our volunteers to a position that will be most enjoyable and meaningful is important to us.
Volunteer opportunities include patient information, ICU/Surgery liaison, patient escorts, Blessings gift shop, popcorn concession, pharmacy, Reaud Guest House
, office assistants, and new mother education to name a few. In addition to our regular volunteer assignments, our volunteers frequently work together on special projects including heart pillows for Cardiac Rehab, NICU comfort bags, staff appreciation, and community activities.
