Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation

A healthier community...

Your donations help support the charitable efforts of
Baptist Hospitals of
Southeast Texas Foundation.
Founded in 2009, the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization that is led by an outstanding volunteer board of directors

Our Mission
The Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation will provide additional support and funding for Baptist Hospitals in order to facilitate the ongoing provision of high quality health services in a Christian environment through sacred work every day.

Making a Difference
Through the overwhelming generosity and involvement of our community, the Baptist Hospitals Foundation has quickly been established as a valuable resource for Baptist Beaumont and Baptist Orange Hospitals. Through fundraising events like La Soirée, the Cajun Classic  golf tournament, annual employee giving campaigns, Kids with a Heart for Art, among other activities, the Foundation supports many hospital programs and services. From the Children’s Unit to the Baptist Cancer Center, the Foundation is helping Baptist Hospitals build a healthier community, one patient at a time.

Foundation Projects
The Albert E. and Gena Reaud Guest House is a beautiful 19-room facility located at Baptist Beaumont Hospital. It opened in July of 2010. Funding for this $3 million dollar project was generously provided by The Beaumont Foundation of America, the Reaud Foundation, Rathgeber Investments and Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

The “Fighting Cancer in Style” makeover at the Julie & Ben Rogers Cancer Institute included updating the landscaping, painting tranquil colors throughout the facility, purchasing new artwork and decorative accessories and providing a computer resource area for patients and their families. With the help from our friends at Howell Furniture, we were able to replace the lobby furniture. The changes to the Cancer Institute have been well received by patients and their families as described in the following excerpt from a letter from one of our patients:

“The changes to the interior and exterior of the building have really been outstanding. I have to admit when I started my treatments I was uncomfortable due to the ‘non-welcoming’ décor the center had. It is no longer non-welcoming. It says ‘come in and relax—we will take care of you.’”

Currently, the Foundation is establishing a Family Room on the Oncology Unit. Through the generous support of Hadley’s Furniture, a previous storage room is being transformed into a beautiful, relaxing retreat for family members of cancer patients.
