Baptist Beaumont Hospital Partners with Anesthesia Associates to Open Pain Institute

BEAUMONT – April 19, 2012, Pain is part of the human experience – and fortunately, it is often fleeting. An aspirin will soon ease a headache and a hot compress soothes a strained muscle, but what happens when pain does not go away? Whatever the source, chronic pain can disrupt sleep, work and eating habits. Persistent discomfort can lead to depression, affect relationships and severely compromise quality of life.
A newly formed Pain Institute by Anesthesia Associates and Baptist Beaumont Hospital, takes a new look at how pain affects all aspects of a patient’s life. At the Pain Institute, Dr. David Adrian Olvera’s approach is to minimize pain using several different avenues. His philosophy is to treat the patient with a medical, interventional, physical and psychological approach. The overall goal of the Pain Institute is to provide an integrated approach to pain management that blends therapies of injections, medications, and psychological medicines, focused around treating the whole patient.
Please join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11:30am on Thursday, April 19th at the Anesthesia Associates Pain Institute, PLLC, located at Baptist Beaumont Hospital. Event will be held at 740 Hospital Drive, Suite #150. Featuring remarks from Hospital Administration, Dr. Olvera, and Mayor Becky Ames – lunch will be provided.
